Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they?

MATTHEW 6:26

In this series, I will be talking about money matters; our desire for it and our fear of lacking it. As we go through the following versus, I will present certain versus that you will need to read, be mindful of, and apply in your daily life through prayer. We will take a verse a day for three weeks and take each verse into consideration and examination under the guidance of Christ.

I’m not the type to really stand out for Christ but I’m not afraid to admit whom I hold my ligeance with. However, I’m enthusiastic about this opportunity to share a few thoughts with you and I hope that as I start this series, that you will be receptive of it and that you will evaluate each entry for your personal life.

This series is for everyone and anyone willing to accept some financial guidance from scriptures. It is my personal belief that the best financial literacy also happens to be found in the bible. Ok, so that’s it for now but I will be starting this series within the next few days.

Respectfully,

Tony Tovar

    Hello Tony,

I think it is good that you will associate money matters and theology. Even for a person that doesn’t believe in any higher power; having some faith and practicing some basic fundamentals from the bible or whatever non-violent beliefs they have and implement them into our daily lives can even be minutely beneficial.

“Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they?”

That is a nice verse to let us know that we have a great value in our Lords eyes and heart, that we should not fear that he will not look after us; but that he will, and if we believe even a little, he will smile upon us.

:-) 4:33 am time to rest

This is news to me! I’m curious to read more in this series. I didn’t know that the scriptures really spoke of finances (then again, I don’t read it as much as some..)
